Texas City ISD will be hosting Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Heights, Kohfeldt, Northside and Roosevelt-Wilson elementary schools. Parents and students will be able to meet the kindergarten staff and campus administrators, visit kindergarten classrooms, tour the school, learn about kindergarten curriculum and programs, participate in fun activities, learn about fall registration requirements. Texas City ISD will continue its Limited Open Enrollment program for the 2008-2009 school year. This program allows students not living in Texas City ISD to apply for enrollment. Students currently enrolled in the program must re-apply every year. Applications for 2008-2009 will be available on the website (www.tcisd.org) beginning Monday, May 12th and can be submitted at the Simpson Administration Building, located at 1401 Ninth Avenue North, between Monday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 18, 2008. The first Youthfest & Duck Derby hosted by the TCISD Foundation for the Future will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the waterway and by Texas City High School. Entertainment will feature student performers from Texas City ISD.
